There was good news of Dante early on Wednesday evening as the Brazilian trained with his team-mates for the first time since sustaining a deep gash to the foot in the league meeting with Mainz ten days ago. Prior to the full training session, Arjen Robben and Toni Kroos joined Thiago for individual routines. Robben and Kroos, both substituted in the first half-hour of last Saturday’s Bundesliga meeting with Hertha Berlin, focused on pace and stamina building exercise, with both players taking on a much greater physical load than in recent days. “It’s getting better every day, but we won’t be taking any risks,” reported Robben, who remains doubtful for the weekend trip to Hoffenheim. Thiago is also making good progress following ankle surgery at the end of August. The Spaniard put in a session of interval sprints.
